I am often asked, since when did I know that I wanted to be an artist?
I always say there is no point in time, at least I can't remember any. From an early age, however, I was fascinated by capturing something on paper or canvas. That's why I trained as a photographer after school, but the artistic freedom of painting convinced me more. So it was more of a development than a specific point in time.
In the beginning my painting had clear references to realism and I kept experimenting with new techniques, styles and materials. After graduating from art school, where I received a classical education, I became interested in contemporary innovative art. After further training, I finally found my calling in landscape painting.
The process of creating images in my works is based on intentional coincidence and precise further development. The focus of my work is on the colours, structures and shapes, which I want to create in a certain harmony using the different techniques. Not revealing too much, not imitating. For me, a work is finished when it radiates a mood and I feel like looking at it longer.
To be able to live out creativity. There are so many possibilities to express one's feelings or moods. Every day is like a plaything of the senses, inspirations wherever you look. There are constantly new forms and structures to create, old things to rediscover or combine with your own ideas. New media also offer almost unlimited possibilities to live out your love and passion for art from dawn to dusk.
